The reason there are so many X's in this picture is that it was a joint retreat with a church from (I think) Michigan. Our youth leaders that year were Wayne Veldman and his wife (front row on the left) and Cindy Zylstra. Debbie Laning, class of '78, is sitting next to Meri Veldman.
